Sifu (teacher) Gary Tong will introduce you to basic Tai Chi principles, postures and the Yang style "Tai Chi 8 Posture Form". This is a very good introduction to Tai Chi, even If you never played or practiced Tai Chi before. 

 

 

What is Tai Chi ?

 

Tai Chi is a Mind / Body exercise that follows natural movements and principles of nature. Movements are slow, relaxed, with focus, concentration, breath and balance. Through daily practice of Tai Chi, one can improve their balance, coordination and overall well-being. Tai Chi is also a moving meditation, it is very good for stress and relaxation.

 

Unlike other exercises, Tai Chi focus on strengthening your “Chi”. Chi is the life force within our body. When Chi is weak or stagnant in our body, we can become ill. Through the relaxed and graceful movements of Tai Chi Chuan, we learn to circulate "Chi" throughout our body, while calming our mind.

 

Tai Chi Chuan is the most effective balance and coordination exercise in the world.
