Tai Chi - Chi Kung "Energy Ball"

This Tai Chi - Chi Kung - Meditation form is for developing the "Chi" sensations within your hands. You must relax, concentrate your mind, breath slowly and deeply, imagine holding a ball and feel the energy between your hands.

 

The leg movements are similiar Yin/Yang movements as within the "Circle Form". This is a simpler form to learn prior to learning the "Circle Form". Enjoy.

Tai Chi Circle Form

This introductory Tai Chi Form consists of two Yang Tai Chi Chuan postures, “Grasping the Bird’s Tail” and “Single Whip”. These two postures are repeated three times in each direction (circling left and circling right) to complete a full circle.

 

When practicing Tai Chi Chuan, our main emphasis should be on the principles. Body and Mind as One. Relax and breathe deeply. Move slowly, quietly and gracefully. Maintain a connection with Heaven and Earth. Collect and store energy in your lower abdomen (Dantien).

 

Unlike other exercises, Tai Chi Chuan focuses on developing internal energy “Chi”. Chi is the universal cosmic energy that is in all things. When Chi is weak or stagnant in our body, we can become ill. Through the relaxed and graceful movements off Tai Chi Chuan, we learn to circulate “Chi” throughout our body, relaxing and healing our body and calming our mind.

 

Tai Chi is believed to: Boost the Immune System --- Slow the aging Process ---- Lower High Blood Pressure ---- Reduce the incidence of  “Anxiety”, “Depression” and overall mood disturbances. Tai Chi Chuan proved to be the most effective balance and coordination exercise in the world.
